If You Had a 2 Year Old Daughter, Named Ashlyn...

If you had a two year old daughter, named Ashlyn...

Your nails would be painted sparkly 80% of the time. And not the grown up, sophisticated sparkly, the kind of sparkly that shouldn't be on people older than 12.

You would have to answer the question, "Mama, what are you doing?" and then you would have to answer the same question, as soon as you finished answering it the first time, and you would do this about 5 times.

You would receive "foot-fives" and sporadically jump up and down screaming, "OH YEAH!" for no apparent reason.

You would get your hair brushed with a Minnie Mouse comb and it would be extremely, painful, but you'd act like it was the smoothest hair-brushing of your life, because the thrill she gets out of it, is totally worth it.

You would get really excited and actually squeal in your excitement for Tinkerbell! Yes, that little flying fairy would be a significant part of your life.

You would pretend you always  know what to do when there is a problem, AKA yucky bugs and random loud noises.

You would be so proud when she's playing with other kids much older than her and can stand her ground and tell the rough and tumble boys, "That's enough. Let go of my arm."

You would adore her friendliness towards everyone on this planet. Even the girl with rainbow hair, nose rings, and tattoos, in the milkshake line.

You would feel all warm and fuzzy inside when she says her brother's name.

You would, secretly, be really flattered that she's starting to want to do everything that you do and you would be kind of scared at the same time, that's a lot of pressure and influence.

You would tuck her in at night and see her close her eyes with a huge smile on her face, as if to say; 'I love my life, can't wait for tomorrow!'

Your heart would be really close to exploding each and every day, because she sprints to you, jumps in your arms, and says I love you, whenever she feels like it and she feels like it a lot!

You would know what unconditional, ever-lasting, through any space, time and everything, LOVE is, because you feel that for her.

You would realize, once you have a two year old daughter, Ashlyn, your days are brighter and your heart is fuller and you can't even remember how life could have ever been good, before her!
